The Oral Historian is looking for motivated interns who wish to gain hands-on practical experience in oral history work. We are looking for interns who will work on the processing and cataloguing of interviews. Interns will work remotely and be mentored by Indira Chowdhury.

Duration: 3 months
Time commitment: 12 hours a week.
Compensation: Unpaid (An internship certificate will be provided on completion).
This internship is designed to provide hands-on practical experience in processing oral history interviews. This is an excellent opportunity for a student to gain valuable skills and build a professional portfolio. The successful interns will work closely with Indira Chowdhury and focus on how to edit, curate and catalogue interviews conducted by her. The interns will receive structured mentoring and training.
Qualifications of Intern:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or post-graduate degree programme in History, Languages, Sociology, Communications or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Note: Applicants with some experiences of working in oral history projects are strongly encouraged to apply.
